Who we are

Cure for Boredom is a small family farm in Western Massachusetts, run by Hunt and Joy. We grow vegetables organically and farm with the belief that how food is grown matters just as much as what is grown.

For us, farming is part of daily life. It means early mornings, long seasons, and learning to pay attention to soil, weather, and the limits of both land and people. We have spent years farming in this region — building soil on borrowed ground, experimenting, making mistakes, and figuring out how to do this work in a way that feels honest and sustainable.

Our kids help out when they can, harvesting, planting, or simply being nearby, and the farm is woven into our family’s rhythm. We want them to grow up understanding that farming is real work, and work that matters.

Cure for Boredom is not about scaling up or chasing trends. It is about staying rooted, growing good food, and stewarding land thoughtfully so it remains productive and alive for years to come.
